CONCERTS
1. Arrive very early to concerts: seats/space can fill up very quickly. If you want to be assured of a place to sit, either
bring your own chair, or get to the stage as much as 45 minutes before the first show of the evening starts. If you want to
see shows at different stages during the evening, prepare to have to stand/sit outside the tent.
2. Chairs at shows can get muddy, plus they tend to "walk off" during the week. Bring a plastic bag to put over a chair,
or bring your own chair.
3. The main stage hill is very steep and slippery when wet. You don't realize this until you are halfway down the hill,
and are about to tumble down it. There is a gravel road that will take you around and down the hill safely. Look for it.
4. The "pits" can be very, very dangerous. While I would like to see moshing banned at Cornerstone, it doesn't seem likely
that it will happen anytime soon. Approach the front of the stages with caution.
SCHEDULING
1. It is ok to plan your schedule before going to the fest, but one of the fun things about Cornerstone is discovering
new bands, speakers, etc. Don't be so locked in your schedule that you don't stop to listen to something that interests you.
2. Even more importantly, don't get so bound by your schedule that you miss opportunities to minister to others and to
be ministered to. Take the time to talk to those around you.
3. Schedules do change. C-Stone does a pretty good job of making announcements about changes, but it never hurts to check
at the fest desk or at the stages to make sure that the act you want to see performing on schedule. Also, it is not unusual
for bands to play multiple times at the fest, and this information is often not announced. Look for your favorite band's table
in the merchant halls, and get a schedule of their appearances from them directly. Also, take time to read the flyers being
passed out and posted around the fest site (the portable toilets and showers are prime flyering locations) to find out what
is going on.
SEMINARS
1. Seminars are becoming much more popular, and hence, are filling up quickly. Now that C-Stone is organizing the seminar
tents by topic, many people don't leave their seats at the end of the seminars. Again, get there early, and bring your own
chair.
2. Have a look at the fest program *before* the fest. Familiarize yourself with the speaker and their area of expertise by
looking around online, on Amazon.com for their books, etc. Write up a list of questions that you want to ask them, and if
you have time, buy one of their books/videos and read it. You will get a lot more out of the seminars if you take the time
to educate yourself on the topics/speakers beforehand.
