Don't Get Sick!

Keep Healthy

Some tips for keeping yourself healthy during C-Stone:

1. Make sure that you are in good shape prior to attending the fest. Schedule a physical prior to the fest if you haven't had one recently. If you have a specific medical condition, it is a good idea to discuss your plans with a physician.

2. Don't forget your insurance card, prescription medicines, and your doctor's phone # in case of an emergency.

3. Bring some multi-vitamins with you, and take them every day, even if you don't normally take additional vitamins.

4. Drink plenty of water (tea, coffee, juice, or soda do NOT count!) during the fest. A half gallon a day for an adult is minimum, more is prefered.

5. Wear a good sunscreen at ALL times.

6. Apply insect repellent frequently. The black flies are murderous!

7. DON'T skip meals, and be sure to eat healthy.

8. Try and get as much sleep if possible, even if you need to take a catnap during the day.

9. Take particular care of your feet.

10. Use common sense in the showers and in the bathrooms: put a towel down before sitting on a shower room bench. Wash your hands carefully after using the washrooms. Carry a pocket pack of tissue and some anti-bacterial hand gel (or some handi-wipes) with you.

11. Stay out of the mud pits. Why? Well, for one thing, bacteria breed like crazy there (the place was once a pig farm). Two, poison ivy, etc, can be hidden in that mud. Ask Amber K's brothers: they spent most of the fest with poison ivy all over their bodies after rolling in the mud between the encore stages!
