Going to C-Stone by yourself? Here are some tips to make your trip safe, pleasant, and fun!

1. Because you won't have the support or company of other people, you need to make your plans very carefully. Go over your packing lists, budget, and travel plans to make sure that you haven't forgotten anything.

2. When you get to the fest and set up your tent, get to know your neighbors. It is always nice to have new friends, and your neighbors can help to keep your campsite and property safe by keeping an eye on it for you.

3. Make sure that your parents, friends, or another family member knows where you are. Keep in touch by calling them a few times during the week, even if it is just to leave a voice mail.

4. If you have any sort of medical problem, you may want to make sure that you are wearing a "medic alert" type bracelet, or be sure to write down information about your medical condition (including your doctor's phone number and a way to reach your family) and put it in your wallet.

5. Women in particular should excercise the same sort of caution that they would if they were doing any other sort of solo traveling. Specificially, women should refrain from taking rides from people they don't know, and should be "pleasantly suspicious" of any gentleman who seems to be paying them a great deal of attention. I am not saying that one can't meet a future spouse at C-Stone, but let's face it, it is unlikely, and the intense atmosphere of C-Stone can distort our perceptions of people.
